Now you can have walk-in, specialized orthopedic diagnosis and treatment for your injury or ailment. Our orthopedic urgent care clinics can provide immediate diagnosis and relief through our on-staff specialized physicians and certified physician assistants.
Both our Moss Creek and Okatie Riverwalk locations have on-site digital X-Ray equipment, and our Moss Creek clinic has equipment and staff to provide MRI scans in our open MRI. We will make a referral for you if necessary from our Okatie Riverwalk location.
BRACING, SPLINTING & CASTING
Casts and splints are orthopedic devices that are used to protect and support broken (fractured) or injured bones and joints. They help to immobilize the injured limb to keep the bone in place until it fully heals.
SPRAINS, STRAINS & TENNIS ELBOW
The symptoms of a sprain and a strain are very similar. That’s because the injuries themselves are very similar. The main difference is that with a sprain you may have bruising around the affected joint, whereas with a strain, you may have spasms in the affected muscle.
SPORTS MEDICINE & INJURIES
Our orthopedic urgent care facilities are committed to ensuring the optimal health and performance of student athletes, as well as weekend warriors coping with the affects of aging.
SPORTS PHYSICALS/PPE
Sports physicals, also called pre-participation exams (PPE), help determine whether it’s safe for a child or adolescent to participate in physical activity.
ACUTE OR CHRONIC INJURIES
An acute injury, is an injury that occurs suddenly and is usually associated with trauma such as cracking a bone, tearing a muscle or bruising. A chronic injury, on the other hand, is the result of prolonged, repetitive motion that is particularly common in endurance sports such as swimming, running and cycling.
INJECTIONS & CORTISONE SHOTS
Cortisone shots are injections that usually help relieve pain and inflammation in a specific area of your body. The injections usually comprise a corticosteroid medication and a local anesthetic.
SOFT TISSUE, MUSCLE PAIN OR INJURY
Treatment for soft tissue conditions focuses on reducing pain and inflammation, and on preserving mobility and preventing disability and recurrence. The treatment for many soft tissue conditions is similar.
ON-SITE DIGITAL X-RAYS
Moss Creek and Okatie Riverwalk Orthopedic Urgent Care Clinics have digital X-ray services on site. This allows us to quickly perform better diagnosis of bone related injuries. Please note as a precaution, we will always ask you to don a lead apron to protect against radiation.
